The main reason is we're looking at an (intentional) six hour layover as one member of our party will be heading off elsewhere as a UM from Miami so we need to allow enough time to facilitate that.

From what I've experienced flying international/business gets you in the lounge, just not sure of that holds true for shorter business trips on points.
