This. For me, I carry either my passport or my DL for identification when traveling but not both. From my perspective, losing one is better than losing both.
Life is too short to get into a conversation with the lounge rep about types of identification form I am willing to show them. So, yes, I comply and enjoy every bit PL experience I can get out of (usually less than an hour sometimes only 5 minutes).
