Called today re my Red Aviator card, very minimal spend, open since card switch from US Air(?). Annual fee hit on Jan 31. Was given no offers and told I could not transfer to a retention specialist because there were no offers. Was told I have 30 days from AF posting (so March 2) to cancel or downgrade if I want the AF refunded - earlier posts here mentioned 60 days, does anyone know the definitive answer? I said I'd think about it and call back to cancel or downgrade. (Was told the only downgrade possible was the no-fee Aviator)
If I refer my wife to Red Aviator and then downgrade myself, can I get the referral bonus or is it too late (since she won't complete spending before I downgrade)?
