Question on behalf of a friend of mine looking to buy an award ticket. I've searched the thread and looked around and can't find the answer.
Friend is looking to purchase award ticket with the routing:
TPE-HGH-KWL [2.5 day layover] KWL-PEK-YVR
Guilin is eligible for the TWOV, but are you required to take a direct flight to that location, or is a domestic transfer (as shown above) legal? Can he consider Guilin the transit city, or would it be HGH? My inclination is that this won't work, but wanted to see if others might be able to answer more definitively.
