True, but to check it all the way through to CBR, the most feasible option would probably be to connect from RJ to QR in AMM, I can't think of a closer airport served by airlines that have a baggage interlining agreement with QR.
I would probably favor the WY option. Best airline, shortest connection, best connecting airport.
While AMM is not bad, it is quite the detour.
[MENTION=24128]lendman[/MENTION] I hate to impose, but before you spend too much time planning, have you assessed your visa options yet? While it's not completely impossible to get in as a tourist, the KSE is extremely restrictive in that regard.
As a personal remark, I don't think visiting Riyadh is worth the effort, but of course it's up to you.
