Haven't visited North Wales for going on 30 years, though I did spend many a school boy summer holiday there!

I thought to visit this summer and I (plus wife and 7 year old) would like to spend a few days in Snowdonia. Problem is, I am having difficulty finding something suitable.

Any recommendations where to stay? Luxury country house more than travelodge. Not to worried about location within Snowdonia. We'll be spending a few days at a beach location so very happy to stay inland.
