I hopefully won't need to book this. Just been checking on ba.com regarding a flight tomorrow LON-EWR-LON as a possible mercy dash for Mrs PAL62V. Y flights are about £900 ret which I suspected to be the case so last minute. But I then noticed it was about the same price with a car rental (which she could use). Investigating it further, if the car was downgraded to a small hatch, the price dropped to around £620.

As I say, it may be that we won't need to book this after all but I have to ask - how is this even possible??
