Here again.
1) hotel taxi was late to pick up... Again, go with another company as this one is not professional
2) I found what I thought was plat amenity actually is not ( they gave me a huge basket of food as service recovery from bad taxi service experience which I thought was plat amenity).
I got real plat amenity this time which is tiny portion of food, but food good.
3) service remains terrible most of time. 2 hour wait to get water delivered. 4 calls and 2 stops to FD w everyone promising water will arrive shortly.
1 hour for oysters to be delivered at breakfast. Had to ask 4 people for coffee.
4( they now offer breakfast for pkats that now has some warm food but not as varied as full buffet. I went there and found no food.and no workers. Had to wander around and ask 3 people.
Turns out chef canceled plat breakfast for today as not enough plats in hotel but doesnt bother to tell other staff or more importantly guests. ....
5) vouchers for gym cost money. They gave me 2 but wife can't use. I can't believe a hotel at this rate doesn't have a gym and actually charges for vouchers. I've never seen this.
Again, my view of hotel stays same - is doable but definitely misses something. Will probably stay 4 seasons next time to Joburg unless point rates demand I use points.
