Removing MPC number from one of two flights?

My MPC Gold membership is due for renewal Feb 28. I’m in the midst of a trip (JFK-KUL via HKG) and should hit 605 Club Points as soon as my HKG-KUL Cathay Dragon points posts. I think it’s 20 points (I’m currently sitting at 585).

For my return flight, I’m flying Economy on Cathay Dragon KUL-HKG and Business HKG-JFK.

Question is, can I remove my MPC number from just the HKG-JFK leg? I want to save those points to credit to my next renewal. However I would like to get my MPC Gold privileges on the KUL-HKG flight. I’m thinking this isn’t possible but interested in hearing thoughts from other more experience flyers.

Thanks in advance, and Happy Year of the Pig!
