I booked a non refundable flight in Business Class within Europe. I had to change my flight, so I checked the fare for the new dates. The fare was $89 lower.
I called CSR to change the flight. First of all, the CSR told me I had to pay over $300 to change the flight, plus the change fee. I indicated the current fare was lower, and they came up with an explanation that "they had to rebook in a higher fare", and that it was stated in my ticket. After a long discussion and proving my ticket showed no such thing, they agreed to change paying only the change fee.
After that, I asked for a voucher for the fare difference, and they said I had no right to obtain such voucher.
I emailed Customer Service with a detailed explanation hoping they would correct the mistake, and they came back with the same excuse.
Below there is a link to their policy. Unless I am missing something (and in that case I will apologize to LATAM CSR), it clearly states:
https://www.latam.com/en_us/plan-boo...change-policy/
If you switch to a lower fare and the original ticket is refundable, we will refund you the difference in cash. In all other cases, the refund will be made with a voucher for LAN services (for purchases, excess luggage or fines, among others).
Anyone is experiencing a similar issue with LATAM?
