Yes, all big hotel chains get more and more stingy, when it comes to handling their top tiers.

I‘m Diamond and GHA Black and have been Royal Ambassador before. Last year was my first one for long time, when I‘ve stay staid more nights at non-chain hotels and with Airbnb, than at my top tier status hotel chain. Life is better and easier that way.
