Thanks Thuderroad for such a nice detailed response. I think the areas of the world that I would like to fly the most is well served by AA and One World partners.
Your August and September trips in effect will net you 325% on the SF-HK-SF legs (note that you must register for this special) as opposed to 225% if you get Premier Executive on UA.
Yes, with the trips I have planned I can definitely make Exec. Platinum on AA because of the 1.5x points. 1K on United is iffy between now and the end of the year
