Does EVA do gate upgrades to Royal Laurel? and is it worth it? We are booked T class BR009 PE 22H/K, YVR - TPE and then TPE- DPS in Royal Laurel on A330 7H/K. I messed up booking the proper fare to be able to upgrade with star alliance on 1st leg but was able to on 2nd. I see 9 & 11 D/G are still open. 4.5 days away. Upgrade is available at the gate for op ups and also point upgrades. Op ups will follow the IML order, followed by *G, while considering the size of your traveling party.
On point upgrades, there are ticketing rules that are still in effect. SAUA must be completed 24 hours prior to departure. Therefore, it would not apply in your situation so gate upgrade is not available.
