China Eastern is offering cheap $850 fares from Chicago to Sydney via Shanghai PVG. Outbound transit is only 1h55m and return is 6h+. I'm worried about the outbound being delayed thus missing my Sydney flight. There is another flight to Sydney 4 hours later at midnight they could accommodate me on though. Anyone done this transfer? How is the transfer process/efficiency at PVG airport? I hold a US passport.
