Mia, how much of the fee waiver (if any) do you think was financed by Ameriprise? My opinion is that this was a good deal for Amex: new signups, no MR welcome bonuses, and a portion of the first year's AF paid by Ameriprise. I think it's Ameriprise that finally pulled the plug, not Amex.
