I would speculate the RDU announcement from NK has more to do with RDU O/D. I'm not as in the loop on the pax side as I fly out of the cargo area now. Most of my personal travel has moved to NK between TPA and FLL. A lot of my contacts from my Delta days are retiring. I would say I think it is a good sign G4 is still in town. I seem to remember they announced they were pulling out fairly quickly back when Skybus was operating. GSO has always had the issue of failing to support the LCC's when we have them such as FL. Although in the case of FL the airport authority did a good job of running them off to CLT i.e. higher fees. Hopefully with a younger demographic taking hold here in the Triad that is more cost conscious another LCC will see GSO's potential. NK's success would go a long way in showing that!
