The luxury Regent hotel brand was fully incorporated into the IHG programme from the 1st of Feb. At this time you could book these hotels via the IHG website and App. You can also now earn and redeem points at these hotels. There is no indication of benefits for IHG or Ambassador status members, so I guess this will be clarified in the next few months.

I have been looking at the Regency in Montenegro. The cost for redemptions are 60,000 per night and I have made a booking in August when money rates are around the 400 Euro mark. It is interesting that the points booking I have made includes Breakfast, so that is a nice touch.

Real money booking also incur additional taxes and fees (similar to resort fees), so costs are around 10% higher than the initial headline rate presented. So on a 400 euro per night room expect to be paying around 450 Euros. It is not clear at all if points bookings will still incur these additional fees or are exempt.

I will promise to write a review when I return but in the meantime I thought I would start this thread as a place to exchange views, questions and experiences of this property. Points availability looks tight as I am sure this will be a popular summer option, especially for European based travelers.
