I'll also have the hire car for a couple of days before we get to London, so I'll have the reg number to use for an advance booking. The hour window for arrival from the time you book could be problematic, being as how we have a long drive down from the north west on a Friday morning, but I think I could time it out OK.
Other than that, I still can't help thinking something else is going to go wrong and that I'm not going to be able to get into the car park to begin with (not a big deal - I'd just take a ticket and pay the normal rate) or, worse still, we get stuck in the car park when we need to be on our way to LHR promptly the next morning. I also don't want to do something that will fail to stop the parking session (like calling the help line to have the barrier opened sometimes appears to do) and therefore accrue the maximum charge of 6 days worth. I would, of course, dispute a charge like that with my credit card company.
I use them quite regularly, you just need to makesure you use the app correctly but it is pretty straight forward tbh not sure what hour window you're talking about? You can usually just reserve your entire session from start to finish? If you need reassurance, why don't you just get in contact with them, I'm sure they'll be happy to help.
