I have seen multiple times (and not only in HEL) that a gate gets flooded by the "wrong boarding zone" passengers, but by the time they all try their luck, gate agents extend boarding rights to Group 2 and so on. Then it only means that if you are politely waiting in the queue, you are not really getting a priority boarding. Of course, you can be at the gate much earlier and wait your turn close to the starting line, but... Sometimes I'm curious whether people are blind, deaf, stupid, or a bit of all (as this tends to happen at airports where it either clearly says Priority Lane and/or you hear multiple announcements about the boarding groups).

And then there are the stories where you are boarding in Group 1 after multiple red beeps due to insufficient boarding group, but also get a red beep yourself as the computer decides you as an EU citizen flying an intra-EU flight require a Visa check.
