A cheap Groupon should work to trigger the 1,000 miles. At least here there's a fair amount of Groupons under $10.
Otherwise Kohl's seems to put on a sale for cheap pillows or what not for $3-$4 every now and then. Free in-store pick up would remove any issue of shipping.
