This totally escaped me. Didn't think of it at all. 85k miles is actually quite good! Thanks for pointing this out.
So, then, even if I can't churn the Barclays card, I could just purchase 20k miles to make up the shortfall (and pay the fuel surcharge) to get the o/w F FRA-JFK award.
