Not at all. This is common practice with hotels and many other things. It's really no different than a gift card payment for part of the total cost, where a gift card may cover part of the transaction and then the remaining balance is paid through a different method. Even retail stores have the ability to split payment at check out (that's why the credit card scanner asks "Do you want it all on this card?").
