1. Air Canada does not use historical fares for exchanges. They recalculate using current fares. (a real pita!)

2. When cancelling the return leg of an international ticket, the fare rules usually state that a refund will be made by determining the one way cost of the flown leg, and refunding the difference between that and the original ticket cost.
