1) That's good news, as I was hesitant to initiate my cc spend before clarifying this issue. Not sure why LH does this, however. It's confusing.

Does this mean that my original service card number is obsolete?



2) This certainly is a bummer, as the only reason I joined the program is to fly LH in F (I've flown LH in J, wasn't impressed). But, 170k miles is prohibitively expensive. I don't see how I can accrue that many miles within a reasonable time frame. I should have done my homework before joining Miles & More and applying for the cc, tbh.

Since redeeming miles for LH F is clearly not a sweet spot of value in the Miles & More program, are there more cost-effective redemptions in F or J with LH's partners?
(I don't mind a fuel surcharge of $500)

One drawback of Miles & More is that you can't search for award space unless you have the required number of miles to book it. So, you'll be blindly earning miles, hoping that award space will be available once you can search for it. Very poorly designed program, imo (unless I'm missing something).
