I bought a BA fare (LGW-BOD) last year from BA on some promotional offer in the U.K. they were holding (supposedly 1/2 price but more like 10% off the lowest published fare). I had to stay to work at the last moment so I had to cancel the trip. No credit at all - no change option or credit or anything other than an empty wallet. Work reimbursed me for the ticket, at GBP 250 printed on the ticket and not at the GBP130 that I actually paid!

Word of advice: Keep your address in the U.S. and always quote that address if BA asks! (E-mail me for details)
