If aesthetics are the most important factor, then sure, go with SFO. But I will echo everyone else here that weather at SFO is unpredictable and can wreak havoc with flight delays if you happen to be flying on the wrong day. LAX is much more predictable, efficient and as others have noted, easier to navigate. No contest IMHO.
