My travel insurance policy will cover losses from a ticket (cancellation charges) but not any amount given as credits toward another flight.

How do I document that AA has charged $200 per ticket and given credits for the rest of the ticket costs and for the seat payments?

The AA telephone person I spoke to said AA would not send any emails about a ticket, including the ticket number or a confirmation of residual value once the ticket had been cancelled.

Is there an online source of such information where I could put in a ticket number and find out the residual value?
