Question for anyone that knows.... Once you're approved for the Chase MP Club Card, does the club membership quickly show up on your MP account? Or do you actually have to wait the 7-10 business days or whatever for the physical card to show up in the mail? (follow-up question, if it's the second... isn't it 2019!?!? Didn't things like physical cards get outdated a decade ago?? But I digress.... ) Anyway... just wondering if anyone has done it fairly recently and knows what that timeline is.

Back story... I finally bit the bullet and decided to apply for a United co-branded card last night. I'm not big on playing the rotating credit card game, so I had never done it. The relaxation of slot restrictions at Newark means by tickets for business travel are coming below $3000/25kmiles most of the time and PQDs are getting harder and harder every year, so I decided it was time. I don't do much personal travel, so my award miles are piling up anyway (so Explorer card benefits weren't too appealing). Now that award miles are revenue based United inevitably is going to tie them more and more to inflation or they'll go out of business (meaning the pile in my account a depreciating by the day). Really they are already... most award tickets seem to be "demand priced" now, the "award chart" is quickly becoming irrelevant it seems. So I figured.. what the heck... I travel a lot (probably between platinum and 1k mileage level, all domestic - so average every 2-3 weeks cross-country) I'll try out the club card for the first freebie year and see if I feel I get enough value out of it to start paying or just switch to the cheaper explorer for the PQD waiver if I don't. So the question is mostly, is there any chance I get club access in time for a trip next week? Or am I waiting on the physical card to show up (or at least the same timeline as the physical card)?
