I own both versions of the Cabin and Cabin Plus.

If I fly domestic, I take the Cabin with me.

If I am flying international, I take the Cabin Plus.

There are many variables to consider on what fits best for you. I always check the equipment that I'll be flying on to assess my chances of getting the oversized version on-board, which boarding group I'm assigned to.

Worst case scenario, I always plan to have the bag gate-checked, so I'm not caught off guard. If I don't have anything fragile, or of sentimental concern, I have also checked my carry-on at the ticket counter before passing through security. Many airlines will waive fees or courtesy check your bag if you tell them you have a carry-on you'd like to check-in.
