Heck, why even have a password? Put it in the clear, especially if the club is physically isolated from the rest of the airport (often by a level or two), and properly aim the wireless antennas. United does this in at least some of their clubs.
Because data in the clear can be captured pretty easily and it’s cheaper to deploy omni-directional access points compared to designing and tweaking directional external antennas.
