All new to me
Good day all.
After receiving 5 of these SNA awards today as Marriott LTP, I read through this thread with interest in hopes to not ask a stupid question that has already been answered. Didn't find an answer, so here goes...
I have a stay upcoming in the next month at a Sheraton property I've booked on points. The only point-redemption available was 1 King bed, low floor, no view. Booked it anyway on assumption that as LTP I would at least get club access if not a better room. If I go to the SNA options I get either 2 Queen beds, club access, (water) view or 1 King bed (water) view with balcony without club access. Needless to say there are no suites on the list, although the property has them available for purchase. I prefer the King bed (old married couple), so checked that option. The question is, if I get this "upgrade" have I waived my Plat benefits and therefore club access? The follow-up question is if you check multiple options does it mean you'll get the lowest available - in this case if I'd checked both would I have excluded myself from the "better" choice?
Several years ago I might have had some expertise in this situation, but I've given up long-time HH status to focus on Marriott after retiring and Sheraton is uncharted territory. Thanks for input.
