Sorry to semi-hijack the thread with my question.

We rented an Avis car and was driving in an Expresslane in CA (was travelling San Diego to LAX) which is free if you meet the 2+ passengers criteria. Would this count (according to Avis) as using a toll? Should we expect a charge? I didn't think about it until afterwards.
