Some confusion there, though more one of semantics.
There are NO QF flights between SYD/MEL/BNE and PER which are part of an international flight.
MOST QF flights between the East Coast and PER are operated with 767/A330 aircraft.
HOWEVER, during peak periods, these flights *MIGHT* be operated by Boeing 747-400 aircraft.
Hence, the reference to "international J class".
The crews will be long-haul crews (as will the A333 crews) trained in INT service.
Dunno what all the fuss is about really, DOM J in AU is on a par with DOM F in the Untied States, so you will be in for a pleasant surprise.
