I think what deissi is referring to is not insurance included in some cards, it is the "chargeback" process. If you buy something on a card which is not delivered, the CC company will refund from "their own money" and deal with the vendor on their own.

It may differ in different jurisdiction, but in my case debit cards are also covered. That is how I got money back from the AB default.
