Call the SPG reservation line. They will see the same thing in their system, but will contact the hotel, book it as a paid room, then convert it to points for you. I had to go through this recently. All dates and room types are available, but no award space on any dates. Best to call the SPG reservation line during daylight hours in Thailand, they will handle it quickly if they get in touch with the front desk there. I was able to get my reservation booked in less than 24 hours, it just took time for them to convert it and send me an email to confirm it was an award booking.
