I had meant to do a follow-up on previous but I guess better late than never. Had breakfast at both hotels on my trip earlier this month so here are my thoughts:
Hilton
- Exec Lounge/2nd floor
- Currently no breakfast at the exec lounge due to renovations, which is expected to finish around April IIRC. They moved exec lounge breakfast to the second floor. If you're wondering about the orange juice machine, they moved it down as well.
- If you want to have a quieter breakfast, then go here.
- They will ask if you want omelettes once seated.
- Compared to the exec lounge location, they had a bigger food selection available. Advice: if you think the food selection is a bit small, just look for the private teppanyaki dinning room. That's where the Asian options and the rest of the hot food are located. It will be on your left when enter the dinning area.
- Marble Lounge
- A lot more food options compared to second floor.
- It gets busy and recommend getting there early, especially on weekends.
Conrad
- Exec Lounge
- Limited selection compared to Cerise.
- Can get busy if you go later in the morning.
- Cerise
- Bigger selection of food.
- Seating was plentiful, at least when I went, and space felt more open.
- I had the option of selecting from three made to order items in the menu, in addition to the buffet. This might be a diamond benefit though, not sure. I recommend the Hokkaido buttermilk pancakes or the french toast.
Comparison: Conrad had some items that were a step above the Hilton. However, the Hilton seemed to the have the bigger spread. It really depends on what you're looking for but I feel you can't go wrong either way.
