I put both numbers. The Nexus # seems to get precheck. One has to show it for Nexus entry, at least at YYZ.

The passport is required at US security/global entry now. I prefer to put my Nexus CARD away (size makes it easier to lose) and continue with passport. This also means I have to show passport at the gate. Again less likely to lose it.
