SPG Personal open since Jan 2016, haven't spent anything since the devaluation in 2018. Called in June 2018 and got 7,000 spg points (converted to 21,000 MR points) for retention. Annual fee just posted (Jan 2019) and called for retention. Rep pulled up all AMEX cards and went through spending on the SPG Personal. Rep said that because I was given 7,000 points in June 2018, there was nothing they could offer. I'll probably HUCA over the next couple of weeks, ... but am doubtful I'll be able to get 2 retention bonuses within one cardmember year.
