If it says a meal it's always correct in my experience. I think they are offering meal service in F on most of these transcon routes now at all times (not just the D1 routes). They could also just be trying to push this particular route.
Strangely, I just tried to check if the SAN-JFK red eye in F also has dinner, but when I did a dummy search, it is only showing meal info for Y and C+.
