I've got a need to get to Eastern Canada so this helps, albeit it doesn't help my savings account.... (the CX mistake fares would have been nice to have caught).

Just booked a return trip via the SQ website. IDR 196,536, with the outbound to EWR and the return from JFK in the summer.
AMD-SIN / SIN-EWR / JFK-(FRA)-SIN / SIN-AMD.

I'm planning to spend the weekend in AMD with the leg from AMD-SIN on the Sunday evening, arriving early enough to head straight to the office...
I paid a little extra in taxes for the stopover in Singapore on the return as well so that I could put the SIN-AMD leg into my new membership year which starts in December.
