Socal has some spots that still work for me, and I buy $1k at them. Mostly outside the main LA metro area. A couple in SD also still work for me. Try and hit Walmarts where travel hackers don't live nearby and they definitely still work.

Thing is, it is SO easy for me to buy MO in the Middle of Nowhere Mid West, I really don't even want to try in SoCal ... but good to know there are some spots left in this amazing State.
