If you don't want to travel too much & stay next to the Airport. The Ummed Hotel is just 1.5 Km from the Airport. It's a 5 start & doesn't get any better then that.
If you don't mind taking a cab then there's
Hyatt Regency,Courtyard ,Four Points, Aloft & Renaissance in the city. (All around 18-20 Kms from the Airport around 30-40 minutes) But it might take some more time to reach there during peak hour's.
And if you are not local it might take some time getting used to how people drive in the city.
Also it's one of the safest cities in India so need to worry about that. People are very friendly and go out of way to help if you are stuck.
