Same except I would do this at the gate as the gate agent could issue a lap child pass. This was a few years back so not sure if they can still set-up a lap child at the gate. I would always let the FAs know upon boarding that if they needed the seat last minute, I was prepared to quickly remove and gate check the car seat.
