Agreed in principle, but there is a so much subjectivity. The A-G we are so keen to avoid (and which I have tasted and don’t like much) is rated highly by a number of well known reviewers, some even rate it higher than the Louise (which I like very much). If it is between LPGS consistently or LHs monthly choice of premium bubbly which includes some that a few of us don’t really like, I’d go for the consistency over the surprise.
I see your point.
If LH just had better wines, which is my main complaint, I could occasionally ignore a not-so-great bubbly and drink some wine instead. But particularly the selection of white wines often leaves a lot to be desired.
