I think there is a lot of points in getting this card now. We won't qualify for any Marriott offer on the Chase side (for two years?). But Chase MR card is there. Not going away like this SPG card is. The SPG welcome bonus will be gone.
Sorry if I'm being dense... I currently have the regular personal SPG card. So you are suggesting, apply for the equivalent Marriott card today, which would give me 75K points, then cancel the SPG? And the Marriott will convert to this new Bonvoy card as well? Or just stay as a MR card, which will have the same perks as the new Bonvoy as far as I can tell...
