Airlines are able to do this specifically because most companies are willing to pay the cost. If your company is large enough to have a United corporate account, that could be in jeopardy if your company were caught engaging in banned practices. Basically, airlines have a lot more leverage over a business than they do over an individual.
If your company has a travel department, I'd suggest discussing this with them before making a purchase.
