Is there a way to book a room with points, when that room type is not showing a point redemption option online? For example I am looking at going to a hotel on a beach. They only are showing their “standard king” as an option for points redemption. I am interested in staying in a room facing the ocean. That room type is available when you click on “standard rate”. I am willing to use more points to get the better room. Is this even possible?


Side question: Do you earn points on reward stays? Specifically if you choose points over breakfast, or qualifying incidentals charged to your room?
