Some of the newer flight attendants take drink orders before departure so they can serve more quickly. If you're in row 4 of first-class it can be 20 minutes before you get a drink, which on a 1-hour flight is a long time.
But you got a PDB. sorry you have to wait for the drink cart to move through F, I guess they should just not have drink service at all for W/Y so you don't have to wait.
