This reminded me of how dim the eclipse actually is - ISO3200 and wide open, but still 0.4s exposure, so some blur. And manual focus as even contract detect focus in Live View couldn't lock on. Manual focus at an effective 900mm is a challenge. I'd need something like a huge 400/2.8 or 600/4 and a newer body with better high ISO performance to do much better. Or a telescope mount...
