Apologies if this has been asked before,

i am plannig on a LHR-HEL-SFO in July all on AY metal.

Just a bit confused about which path I take on arrival as (it’s a 65 minute connection as oreference) U.K. is obviously non Schengen but does the SFO flight depart from Schengen or non Schengen gates?

If the latter then I don’t have to clear passport control or security (as U.K. is on the ‘clean’ list in the wiki) but if the formerly then it’s both. Have I read that right?

I assume as OW Emerald I’ll be able to use the premium lounge which shoukd be open by then. May not have anytime though another flight option gives me over 3 hours to spare. I do prefer the short connection as it’s on the A350.
